Neue Kunst im alten Schloss // Gruppenausstellung FUKS
Das Wandgemälde HGW I wurde für den Museumsraum konzipiert und in der Ausstellung vor Ort umgesetzt. Die Fläche ist in 3 Bereiche unterteilt, die sich an 2 Achsen teilen. Im oberen und unteren Bereich sind senkrechte Linien und im mittleren, schmalen Bereich Diagonale abgebildet. Alle schwarz-weiß Streifensegmente sind versetzt aber in regelmäßigen Abständen über die gesamte Wand angeordnet.
Die scharf abgegrenzten Kanten (Hard Edge Painting) verstärken den Farbkontrast und erzeugen eine illusorische Tiefenwirkung, ein Flimmern im Auge des Betrachters. Die Arbeit ist dynamisch im Kontrast durch das Zusammenspiel von Wirkung und Form.
Das Gemälde weißt über sich selbst hinaus indem es die Besucher dazu einlädt sich im Bezug zur Wand zu positionieren. Einige der Aktionen und Events, die im Rahmen der Ausstellung stattfanden haben das Wandgemälde als Plattform und Bühne genutzt. Die künstlerische Arbeit im erweiterten Feld eröffnet diesen Handlungsraum und neue Möglichkeiten der Partizipation und Perzeption.
Es war geplant im Ausstellungszeitraum ein zweites Wandgemälde HGW II anzufertigen. Die Ausstellung wurde eine Woche nach der Eröffnung aufgrund von COVID 19 geschlossen. Das zweite Wandgemälde blieb daher unvorllendet.
New Art in the Old Castle // Group Exhibition FUKS
The mural HGW I was designed for the museum space and realized in the exhibition on site. The surface is divided into 3 areas, which are separated on 2 axes. Vertical lines are depicted in the upper and lower areas, and diagonals in the middle, narrow section. All black and white stripe segments are staggered but regularly placed across the entire wall.
The sharply defined edges ( Hard Edge Painting) enhance the color contrast and create an illusory sense of depth, a flicker in the eye of the viewer. The work is dynamic in contrast through the interplay of contrast
The painting reaches beyond itself by inviting visitors to position themselves in relation to the wall. Some of the actions and events that took place during the exhibition utilized the mural as a platform and stage. The artistic work in the extended field opens this space of action and new possibilities of participation and perception.
It was planned to produce a second mural HGW II during the exhibition period. The exhibition was closed one week after the opening due to COVID 19. The second mural therefore remained unfinished.
